Our Mission
The Forming and Welding (FW) section brings together decades of expertise and state-of-the-art facilities to support CERN in sheet metal forming and permanent assembly. Our activities are based in CERN’s main workshop and extend through on-site interventions in workshops, experimental areas, and tunnels. A Welding Engineering pole ensures welding excellence through standards compliance, welder qualification, and innovation in joining methods.
